Last Updated: 27/06/2026
Commando is a product of Manticore Software. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your information. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with Commando.
1. Information Collection and Use
Commando does not collect personal information. Manticore Software does not operate accounts, analytics, or advertising within the app.
The app stores the following on your Mac only:
Command sets and preferences (saved locally on your device)
Optional SSH passwords for command sets (stored in the macOS Keychain on your device)
Manticore Software does not collect, access, or receive this data.
2. Network Use
Commando may connect to the internet to check for app updates by fetching a version file from manticore.nz. This request does not include your command sets, passwords, or other personal information.
If you choose to run command sets that connect to remote servers (for example via SSH), those connections are made by your terminal and shell environment, not by Manticore Software. We do not receive the contents of those sessions.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your command sets and settings remain on your device. SSH passwords, when saved, are handled by macOS Keychain. Manticore Software does not have access to your Keychain or your stored credentials.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Manticore Software does not share, sell, rent, or disclose personal information to third parties. We do not sell your data.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Manticore Software may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on our website. Please review this page periodically.
